Barrister Martin Lee SC is a Convicted Criminal - 李柱銘資深大律師係已被定罪罪犯!

This is a formal complaint against Barrister Martin Lee SC (李柱銘資深大律師) of 704A, Tower 1, Admiralty Centre, 18 Harcourt Rd, Admiralty, Hong Kong, for his obvious breach of Paragraph 4.1(b)(ii) of the Bar Code, in that he had committed the crimes of [1] Organizing an unauthorized assembly;  and [2] Knowingly taking part in an unauthorized assembly, and was thereafter on 1 April 2021 duly convicted as a criminal by Her Honour Judge Woodcock in DCCC 536/2020 [2021] HKDC 398.  His disgusting criminal activity and subsequent conviction had been widely reported in the press.  He had therefore by his own disgusting criminal activity brought the Bar into disrepute.

As a barrister admitted in Hong Kong in 1966, Mr Martin Lee SC must have known his disgusting criminal activity was "likely to bring the profession of barrister into disrepute or otherwise diminish public confidence in the profession of barrister", but he did it anyways.  It was inexusable.  Members of the public are quite entitled to expect barristers to be law-abiding.  None of us want barristers to be criminals.  The matter is serious.

A silk is supposed to be a leader of the Bar who leads by example.  What Mr Martin Lee SC did was a horrible example for other members of the Bar to follow, and his criminal behaviour cannot be approved or tolerated by the Bar, or be seen to be approved or tolerated by the Bar.

Please prosecute Hong Kong Barrister Martin Lee SC (李柱銘資深大律師) for professional misconduct accordingly.
